In plain English
Bookkeeping is simply keeping a record of your business's money: every sale, every expense and every payment. When it's done properly, you always know how much you've earned, what you've spent and what you owe. It's also the foundation for everything else. VAT returns, tax returns and financial statements all come from your books, so if the books are wrong, everything built on them is wrong too.

FAQ
Common questions
Which accounting software do you use?
We work with the popular cloud accounting packages, or set one up for you if you don't have anything yet. For very small businesses, a well-kept spreadsheet can be enough.
Do I have to keep my paper slips?
Yes. SARS generally expects business records to be kept for five years. Taking clear photos or scans as you go makes life much easier for both of us.
My books are a mess. Where do we start?
With a free chat. We'll look at what you have, work out how far behind things are and give you a plan to catch up.
